Our very own battery testing centre carries out advanced, comprehensive quality control of your battery solution, both while we are developing your battery and before we deliver the final, ready-to-use solution.

Enlarged testing laboratory

Assisting customers is an ongoing, never-ending process, which can be due to job changes in the industry. Because when new designers are hired, they are usually more keenly focused on their core fields of expertise and unfortunately regard batteries as a necessary evil. In other words, companies experience a brain drain whenever a designer or product developer changes jobs and takes their battery knowledge with them. So we’re eagerly waiting in the wings with easy-to-grasp information about the specific qualities of the different batteries.

In many instances, battery quality depends on a complex mixture of chemistry, craftsmanship, materials and manufacturing processes. Generally speaking, it can be difficult to illustrate these many parameters. We are continuously enlarging our testing facilities and laboratory at ACTEC to include a range of new equipment that enables us to show what batteries are capable of – and, just as important: what they’re not capable of – in clear images that customers can relate to.

Our equipment includes climatic test chambers where we can put batteries into operation under cyclically varying environments of cold, heat and moisture. By stress-testing the batteries to the maximum, we can effectively advise our customers on the best battery to choose for difficult applications. 

We use thermography to show how cells and connections perform in the batteries. By testing the various chemicals and encapsulations under realistic conditions, it is possible to eliminate unpleasant surprises in the field when customers put batteries into operation in their equipment
