Panasonic HIT® solar panels provide the highest performance

HIT® photovoltaic modules are extremely compact in appearance and the advanced heterojunction technology provides maximum efficiency and reliability. Panasonic HIT® is the market leader in solar energy technology with a significantly higher energy output per surface area unit compared to conventional modules.

Panasonic solar panels have high efficiency and produces more energy per square meter than traditional panels

Higher efficiency

Unlike conventional solar cells, the cells in HIT® convert a larger percentage of sunlight into electrical energy. In other words, the conversion efficiency is higher. This is because HIT®, unlike conventional crystalline silicon cells, consists of a combination of monocrystalline and amorphous silicon layers.

Therefore, fewer electrons are lost on the silicon layers during energy production. It makes them more efficient. With a cell conversion efficiency of 25.6%, Panasonic set a world record in efficiency in 2014. In hot weather, especially around noon, the performance of conventional modules is rapidly reduced. The high temperature stability of the HIT® modules means that they can continue the hard work long after the others have gone into the shade.

The overall performance with the module's peak temperature of 85°C is 13% higher, compared to a conventional crystalline module. The total benefit over a year is approx. 8% higher than for a conventional module.
