The evolution is with the battery company ACTEC

The company, which was founded in 1991, has gone from being a pure trading company to today being a high-tech production and knowledge expertise company.

Among the current accounts in this issue is the battery company ACTECs, and it reveals an increase in earnings from 3.4 million to 5.2 million Danish kroner before tax. A progress that CEO Christian Nyborg welcomes, and which he attributes to the evolution in society as well, but not least in the company itself.

When ACTEC was founded in 1991, it was a pure trading company with different types of batteries on the shelves. But as more and more machines and plants become equipped with advanced battery solutions, ACTEC has quietly transformed into a production and knowledge company.

- “Today we still sell batteries, but to a much greater extent total solutions, where we put together battery packs for the customer for very different needs and purposes”, says Christian Nyborg.

ACTEC, which currently employs 25 people, has more than anyone else in the country learned from the evolution, and today the company has virtually no competitors in Denmark who can do the same.

- “Modern lithium batteries are very energy-intensive, which is why it requires specialist knowledge to put together battery packs in the right way. And we experience that more and more companies are aware of who they work with when it comes to battery solutions”, says Christian Nyborg.

When he calls ACTEC a production and knowledge expertise company, it means that ACTEC increasingly also provides pure advice and service on battery solutions that it has not provided itself.

For the reasons mentioned above, Christian Nyborg is also quite optimistic about the future.

- “It is difficult to see what should stop the growth right now. Technology is creating new things every day that require power, such as various forms of surveillance based on the Internet. They often require advanced battery solutions that we are capable of delivering - so far as the only ones in Denmark”, he says.

Last year, the assets of the Randers company increased by DKK 3 million to DKK 24.0 million.
