Generally speaking, it can be difficult to illustrate these many parameters on data sheets. That’s why we have enlarged our testing facilities and laboratory at ACTEC to include a range of new equipment that enables us to show what batteries are capable of and – just as important – what they’re not capable of!

We help secure the least costly solution in the long term and can give device designers, industrial professionals, battery buyers, etc., more profound insight into parameters such as charging time, charging and discharging processes as well as temperature conditions, and we collect and save data in different systems and environments. Being able to document that we deliver the optimum solution every time will encourage our customers to return with their new projects.

Our new equipment includes climatic test chambers where we can put batteries into operation under cyclically varying environments of cold, heat and moisture. By stress-testing the batteries to the maximum, we can effectively advise you on the best battery to choose for difficult applications.

We test the functionality of your power profile in real time at our own testing facility or in an accelerated test in a climatic test chamber. We conduct stress tests at a high load rate, high temperature and low temperature. The collected data are used to optimise the solution in terms of preferences and requirements.

We use technologies such as thermography to show how the cells and connections perform in the batteries. By testing the various chemicals and encapsulations under realistic conditions, it is possible to eliminate unpleasant surprises in the field when you put batteries into operation in your applications.

This provides a real-life assessment of the batteries to ensure that the battery solution chosen is not only the best, but also costs the least in the long term.
